Tracy's Reflection
When I think about the last twenty years of OK2BME, I also think about the next twenty.
There are still young people who need to know they belong. There are still families looking for connection. There is still important work to do.
My hope is that we continue showing up for young people, so everyone has the opportunity to feel accepted, celebrated, and supported to thrive.
This year, we celebrated 20 years of OK2BME.
It was a chance to reflect on what this program has meant to our community and to celebrate the people who have made it what it is today.
For 20 years, OK2BME has helped create spaces where 2SLGBTQIA+ youth can find connection, build confidence, and know they belong. Along the way, thousands of youth, families, educators, and allies have been part of the journey.
The impact made by this program belongs to the young people who trusted us, the families who walked beside them, the volunteers, employees, educators, community partners, donors, and funders who believed that every young person deserves to be celebrated for who they are.
To mark this milestone, we invited community leaders, corporate partners, allies, and supporters to share one simple message: IT'S OK2BYOU, IT'S OK2BME.
