Children and Parents Connecting (CAPC)
Children and Parents Connecting (CAPC) provides programs and services for parents and caregivers of children from birth to age 6. We offer a home visiting program that provides preventative support that is focused on parent/child relationships, safety, and connecting to community supports and services for families experiencing increased barriers to access.
We also offer periodic groups and workshops based on community needs. Offerings change regularly.
CAPC programs are funded by the Public Health Agency Canada.
Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP)
Our Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) aims to support pregnant people, as well as parents and caregivers of children from birth to 6 months, who are experiencing barriers to accessing services.
As part of CPNP, our Growing Healthy Two-gether and First Time Parents groups were created to strengthen the health of caregivers and infants, reduce the risk of low birth weights, and encourage and support breastfeeding. We provide:
- Education on nutrition
- Meal preparation tips
- Practical infant care information
- A welcoming space to connect with other pregnant people
- Referrals to community resources, and more.
Zero2Six
The Zero2Six program offers individual consultation sessions for parents/caregivers of infants, toddlers and preschoolers (birth to six years of age), who have questions about parenting or community resources. We also offer intensive home-based support to families of children (aged 0-6) who have confirmed or suspected mental health concerns. Family Outreach Worker
The Outreach Worker provides service navigation/resourcing for parents with children up to age 6 (with formal systems, such as health services, housing, education, legal and informal systems, such as families, communities).
- Facilitating groups/workshops
- Team consults focusing on resources for families, parent mental health, children under 6
- Collaborate with community partners to increase access to services
- Psychoeducation (to support advocacy skills, self-efficacy)
- 1:1 Parent support based on family needs (ranging from sort-term to longer-term supports)
- Facilitate supported referrals to Camino programs and services
Child Development Worker
The Child Development Worker provides preventative support on the healthy development of children 0-6years of age. Supporting through the lens of infant and early childhood mental health, attachment and regulation. Aiming to support in behaviour management, Language/Literacy, and school readiness.

Groups and Counselling
Groups and Workshops
We offer a variety of groups for pregnant and parenting individuals, along with their children. Parenting individuals can be anyone who parents their children: parents, caregivers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and more.
Counselling
Along with our other services, we offer counselling for children, youth, and families.
