Learn more about Family Violence Project.
Family violence affects individuals, children, families, workplaces, schools, healthcare providers, and social service agencies across Waterloo Region.
For many years, organizations have worked together through the Family Violence Project to strengthen prevention efforts, increase awareness, and improve coordinated responses for those impacted by violence.
This year marked an important milestone, thanks to the support from Badge of Hope with the hiring of the Family Violence Project’s first Director, creating dedicated capacity to advance shared priorities and strengthen collaboration across the region.
Through this generous funding, the project also introduced a System Navigator role, helping individuals and families connect with the services and resources they need while improving coordination across organizations.
Camino is proud to provide a home for this leadership role while working alongside community partners who are committed to creating safer futures for individuals and families.
This progress demonstrates what can be achieved when organizations work together with a shared vision, collective leadership, and a commitment to strengthening the community response to family violence.
