Recently, we gathered with past participants, families, partners, and supporters. It was an unforgettable evening of connection, reflection, and community – a reminder of how far this work has come and why it still matters.
One of the most memorable moments was a music therapy session, led by our music therapist – highlighting one of the creative supports offered through the program to help youth process emotions, build confidence, and connect with others.
But what stayed with us most were the stories. In the anniversary video, former participants shared what the program meant in their lives.
One participant said...
“There’s nothing wrong with how you feel, who you are, what you bring to the table. We are all at our core human beings.”
Another shared...
“I couldn’t believe that there were people like me out there doing the work. It was so moving because it was the first time I felt like maybe I could plant a seed of that dream for myself one day. And I did!”
That’s what belonging looks like. It shows up in confidence. In stronger relationships. In young people growing into adults who know their worth.
The gathering was one meaningful moment, and the impact continues every day.
