Child, Youth, and Family Counselling

Counselling offers a safe environment for children and youth aged 4 to 17 to express their feelings and navigate challenging situations. Our counselling programs are fee-for-service with funding and subsidy options available. We are able to work with all financial situations - you won't be turned away due to the inability to pay for services.

  • If you are looking for publicly funded mental health services for a child or youth under 18, please begin by contacting Front Door Mental Health, the access point for child and youth mental health services in Waterloo Region. They will help connect you to the right service, which may include Camino.
  • If your workplace offers an Employee Wellbeing Program (EWP) through Camino, or you have insurance benefits coverage, or are paying privately, contact Camino directly and connect with our Wayfinding team.

Family Counselling

When a child is struggling, everyone in the family is affected. Parents and caregivers are expected to be involved in the counselling process. For children under the age of 12, parents will typically join part or all of the counselling session, depending on treatment goals.

We also offer parent coaching sessions that provide tools and resources to support your child’s mental health.
