Internships with Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health

We are proud to partner with many colleges and universities to offer training for students pursuing a career in social services. Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health has been providing clinical training to students, licensing professionals, and experienced therapists who are looking to expand their clinical skills for more than 70 years.

Just as we walk alongside our clients in their journey to wellbeing, we will walk alongside you as you develop your skills and professional identity.

Undergraduate Level Internships

Intake and family resources, community and youth development, and family support placements.

Graduate Level Clinical Internships

Work with one of our experienced therapists for support, training and supervision.

How our Graduate Level Clinical Internships Work

As a vital member of our clinical teams, you will be matched with one of our experienced therapists who will provide you with support, training, and supervision. Whether you are new to clinical work or have previous experience, you and your supervisor will work together to set your learning goals and plan how you will get there. Your learning journey will begin with a two-week, intensive training period that will prepare you for the work you will be doing.

We offer various ways to connect to the therapeutic process including multi-session or ongoing counselling, walk-in/quick response single-session counselling, and therapeutic group counselling.

As a Counselling Intern you will have opportunities to join a variety of professional learning opportunities such as Lunch and Learns and in-house training, connection to counselling staff with specialty modalities, 2SLGBTQIA+ support, gender-based violence, trauma, refugee, or immigrant support.
