Community Action for Prenatal and Child Health Program (CAPCHP)
The Community Action for Prenatal and Child Health Program supports pregnant people, parents, caregivers, and families with young children from birth to age 6.
The program offers flexible support during pregnancy and the early years of parenting for families who may be experiencing barriers to accessing services, including newcomer families, young parents, and families experiencing financial challenges.
Support may include:
- pregnancy and infant care information
- nutrition and feeding support
- parenting support and coaching
- child development support
- parent-child activities and groups
- home visits
- connections to community resources and services
Programs and services are offered in spaces where families already gather and feel comfortable, including community and cultural partner organizations across Waterloo Region. Families may also be able to access support in their preferred language through community partnerships.
Our goal is to help families feel connected, supported, and informed during pregnancy and the early years of parenting.
If you would like more information or help getting connected, please:
